A JVRC client was involved in a car accident on Christmas Eve. They called us frantic and emotional due to the situation and unfortunate timing. They didn’t know how to handle this situation so we guided her on what information to collect from the other party involved and filed the claim for them with their carrier. Within 24 hours, the carrier responded back to her and initiated the claim process. Our insured was also curious to know if they had rental car coverage on their California Business Auto policy.
After looking into their policy we found notes on the account stating they had rental coverage a few years back but had then decided to do without that specific coverage. As you can imagine, they were disappointed that this coverage was not in place. Their agent here at JVRC Insurance quickly contacted their carrier and asked if there was any way we could back date the policy and add the rental car coverage for this current claim. Again, within 24 hours the carrier approved the request and we had a very happy client just in time for Christmas morning!
